Shri Krishna Janambhoomi

Significance - The Krishna Janmasthan Temple in Mathura is a place or it was a prison where Lord Krishna was born. Here his Uncle Kansa imprisoned his parents, Devaki (mother) and Vasudeva (father). This temple was built approximately 5000 years ago by the great-grandson of Krishna named Vajranabha. It was destroyed by various rulers over the centuries, but has been rebuilt multiple times because of great beliefs and strong divine energy. Dwarkadhish Temple

Significance - Built in 1814, this temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna in his form as Dwarkanath or Dwarkadhish. This was built up by Seth Gokul Das Parikh the treasurer of the Gwalior Estate. The main idol of lord Krishna is depicted in a black marble and Radha ji in white marble. It is believed that just a glimpse of his idol with pure heart is enough to attain ecstasy.
Gita Mandir/ Birla Mandir

Significance - Gita Mandir also known as Birla Mandir is among the popular temples in Mathura. Baba Jai Guru Dev Mandir

Significance - Govardhan Hill holds a significant place in Hindu mythology. Bhuteshwar Temple

Shri Nand Yashoda Bhawan

Shri Aasheshwar Mahadev

Significance - It holds a special place in Hindu Mythology, When Lord Shiva visited Nand Bhawan to have a look of baby Krishna, Yashoda Maiya denied him, because of his fearful look. Mahadev got disappointed and sat down here with a desire to see Krishna. Hence, He is called ‘Aaseshwar’ Mahadev. When Mahadev left, Krishna cried inconsolably. Yashoda realized that Krishna wants to meet Shri Radha. Mahadev returned with Radha’s name chanting, and blessed Krishna.
Pavana Sarovar
